This technology ensures that the cell will not catch fire, explode, or undergo thermal runaway when punctured by sharp objects or subjected to extreme external pressure.
This standard requires the cell to withstand a vertical penetration by a 4mm diameter steel needle at a speed of 20 ± 1 mm/s, ensuring no fire or explosion occurs during the process, significantly enhancing safety for daily use.
